A Gourmet Evening for Burn's Night

We are delighted to be joined, once again, by Field & Fawcett Wine Merchants, for our next Gourmet Evening. A brief talk will be given at the start of each course outlining the qualities

& history of each of the wines chosen to compliment Adam's menu.

 

A Duo of Starters

Carpaccio of Venison with a White Truffle Oil Vinaigrette is served with Cheviche of Scallops marinated in Dalwhinnie Whisky served with a Cucumber & Dill Salad

Accompanied by a glass of Sparkling Rose, Bollicine, Veneto, North East Italy

 

Fish Course

Tournedo of Hot Smoked Salmon with a Pickled Beetroot Puree & Horseradish Crème Fraiche

Accompanied by a glass of Chardonnay, La Forge, Languedoc, France

 

Churchill Sorbet to refresh the palate

 

Main Course

Roast Crown of Pheasant stuffed with Haggis served with a Champ Potato Cake, Caramelised Shallots & a Thyme Jus

Accompanied by a glass of Capello di Prete, Candido, Puglia, South East Italy

 

A Duo of Desserts

Posset of Raspberries & Drambuie is served with Spotted Dick & Almond Custard

 

Coffee

Accompanied by a complimentary sample of The Peat Monster Whisky & The Spice Tree Whisky to compare & contrast the styles.
